Circular Economy

A model of production and consumption which involves sharing, leasing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing and recycling existing materials and products as long as possible.

GHG Protocol (Greenhouse Gas Protocol)

The most widely used international standard for accounting and managing greenhouse gas emissions. It defines Scopes 1, 2, and 3.

Greenwashing

A marketing process consisting of using fallacious ecological arguments to improve the image of a company or product when the real impact is poor.

LCA (Life Cycle Assessment)

A methodology used to evaluate the environmental impacts of a product, service, or process throughout its entire life cycle (from raw material extraction to end-of-life).

Net Zero

The goal of achieving a balance between human-caused greenhouse gas emissions and the removal of these gases from the atmosphere. At Eco-Rating, we prioritize real reduction over compensation.

Indirect emissions of a company that are not linked to purchased energy but occur in its value chain (suppliers, transportation, use of products sold).
