Ecorating finalises weighting for Pillar P4 and opens its data API

Ecorating today announces the final validation of the weighting for Pillar P4 (Proximity and Regulation) for Companies and Countries. This step guarantees accurate assessment of supply chain transparency and enforcement of environmental laws.

Furthermore, to promote research and transparency, access to the Ecorating API (Application Programming Interface) is now open. Research organisations and partners can thus integrate our rating data to accelerate the ecological transition.

Rising climate scores: Is the AAA rating threatened by the new 1.5°C reality?

With the latest climate projections, pressure on Pillar P1 (Planet) continues to increase. Our analysis reveals that several companies rated AA must revise their Scope 3 (indirect emissions) reduction targets to maintain their rating.

The concept of "net zero" must quickly translate into concrete action to avoid a downgrade. Ecorating explains how companies can now use the "Science Based Targets" methodology to secure their excellence rating in the face of climate urgency.

European agri-food sector scores BB average: High resource risk (P2)

Following the publication of ratings for 120 major agri-food companies, the sector posts an average score of BB (Under Observation). This result is explained by the high vulnerability of Pillar P2 (Production/Resources), mainly due to water consumption and dependence on chemical fertilisers.

Companies aiming to reach the BBB threshold must urgently invest in packaging circularity and adopt more resilient agricultural practices, at risk of slipping into the speculative zone.
